Works will start on 20 April 2026 and are expected to be completed by June 2026, alongside infill winter planting throughout the reserve. The upgrade supports key priorities outlined in the City of Fremantle Strategic Community Plan 2024–2034, including: Liveable City – creating vibrant, socially connected and desirable places Inclusive City – welcoming, celebrating and caring for all people, cultures and abilities What’s included in the upgrade Installation of a new nature‑based playground Infill winter planting to enhance the reserve’s natural landscape During construction, visitors may experience temporary disruptions to access and use of the area. Signage and directions will be in place to ensure community safety. The City appreciates the community’s patience while these improvements are delivered.
