Work is set to begin on the installation of new 100 lux LED floodlights at Ken Allen Field in Beaconsfield from Monday 17 November 2025.

Work will begin on Monday 17 November 2025 to install new 100-lux LED floodlights at Ken Allen Field in Beaconsfield.

The project will upgrade lighting across the two rectangular pitches, improving visibility for both training and games and supporting increased community sport participation at the reserve.

Initial works will include excavation and drilling to create foundations for the new light poles. Works will be delivered in stages to minimise disruption; however, temporary oval closures will occur during periods of high vehicle movement. Concreting is scheduled between 17 and 29 November, during which time the park will have partial closures. Exclusion zones and safety barriers may be in place throughout this period.

The project is expected to be completed by February 2026 and is supported by a $108,798 grant from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries’ Club Night Lights Program.
