At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 14 May 2025, Council adopted Local Planning Policy 1.1 which impacts a number of local planning policies.

At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 14 May 2025, Council adopted Local Planning Policy 1.1: Planning Refunds, Amendments, and Community Consultation. As a result, Council revoked the following local planning policies, which were consolidated into LPP 1.1:

  • 1.1: Amendment and Extension to the Term of Planning Approval
  • 1.2: Refunding and Waving/Reducing of Planning Fees and Building Fees
  • 1.3: Public Notification of Planning Proposals

In addition to the above, the following local planning policies were revoked as they are redundant, out of date, and/or generally superseded by the City of Fremantle Local Planning Scheme No. 4 (LPS4) or other contemporary legislation:

  • 2.10: Landscaping Of Development and Existing Vegetation on Development Sites
  • 3.19: Clontarf Road Area
  • DGF2: Marmion, Forrest, Wood and Amherst Streets Local Area
  • DGF3: Marmion, Forrest, Wood and Montreal Streets Local Area
  • DGF4: Tuckfield, Finnerty and Skinner Streets Local Area:
  • DGF16: Marine Terrace Policy (Including South Fremantle)
  • DGF18: Paddy Troy Mall – Block Bounded By Henderson, William, High and Market Streets and South Terrace
  • DGF24: Solomon Street Local Area
  • DGF27: John Curtin College of the Arts
  • DGF29: Suffolk To South Streets Local Area
  • DGF30: Fremantle Artillery Barracks and Cantonment Hill Reserve
  • DGN10: Rous Head Industrial Park / Harbour
