Upgrades to Parmelia Park, in South Fremantle, are due to get underway in early November.

Upgrades to Parmelia Park, in South Fremantle, are due to get underway in early November.

The much-loved local park will get a new playground, irrigation system, garden areas, accessible pathway, and an accessible barbecue and picnic table.

The new playground includes a custom combination playground unit featuring timber elements, a basket swing, balance logs and steppers, boulders, talking tubes and a see saw.

The playground will be closed and access to surrounding areas may be restricted while the works are happening, with full completion expected by January 2026.

Onsite signage will keep the community informed of the project timelines and progress.

The City would like to thank locals for their participation during the community engagement phase and their patience while the plans were being finalised.
