Port Beach change rooms will be closed for approximately five weeks from Monday 6 October.

The Port Beach change rooms will be closed from Monday 6 October for approximately five weeks while the City carries out some minor refurbishment works and replaces the roof.

The small facelift will include internal and external repainting, repairs and replacement of ageing fixtures, and the repainting of the internal flooring. Regular upkeep of the facility is necessary, both for user experience and to make it easier for the City to clean and maintain.

The existing roof, which has deteriorated over time, will be replaced with coastal-grade materials and new skylights to allow more natural light into the building.

During the closure, a temporary bank of six shower and changeroom units will be located in the car park next to the existing changeroom block, along with two toilets.

These temporary facilities will be available to the public during the same hours as the permanent facilities (6:30am-6pm).

The upgrades will improve the amenity and extend the life of the facility for the community.

We thank beachgoers for their patience while these works are underway.
