Following the exciting news in April that global sailing event, the Rolex SailGP Championship, would be coming to Fremantle, organisers have now confirmed the event dates as 17-18 January 2026. The Oracle Perth Sail Grand Prix presented by KPMG will be a two-day spectacle of thrilling racing, with national teams from around the globe battling it out at speeds of 100km/h right in front of thousands of spectators in a purpose-built Race Stadium. Key dates: Friday 16 January 2026: Official Practice Racing Saturday 17 January 2026: Race Day 1 Sunday 18 January 2026: Race Day 2 The City of Fremantle is working closely with SailGP organisers and Tourism WA to finalise plans for the event, which will be centred around Bathers Beach and the surrounding breakwaters. Demand for tickets is expected to be high, with sales commencing in August.
