The City of Fremantle is celebrating WA Bike Month this October with a range of events designed to get the community out riding and enjoying our city on two wheels. Tour de Freo Sunday 12 October | 8am–12pm | Horrie Long Reserve Join the City of Fremantle and Town of East Fremantle for Tour de Freo, a family-friendly morning of cycling, fun and discovery. What’s on: Free bike safety checks Guided rides (pre-bookings essential) Bike hire available for guided rides Coffee, prizes and a family scavenger hunt Learn about e-bikes, cargo bikes and local bike shops Ride options: Kwilena (dolphin) – 7km guided ride through Fremantle and East Fremantle (approx. 60 mins) | departs 9am, Horrie Long Reserve Babanginy (lightning) – 4.5km guided ride (approx. 30 mins) | departs 11am, Horrie Long Reserve Prefer to go at your own pace? Use the Tour de Freo maps any time during October to explore Fremantle and East Fremantle’s hidden routes, connect with local businesses and enjoy the ride in your own time. This event is presented by the City of Fremantle and Town of East Fremantle, with support from WA Bike Month – a Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) initiative.
