Cr Melanie Clark – North Ward

Elected until 2029

Melanie Clark was elected to Fremantle City Council as a North Ward representative in October 2025.

Alongside running her own business, and being a mum of teenage twins, Melanie has worked as a General Manager for a national labour hire company, managing large teams, budgets and boards – experience that’s helped her develop a practical, solution-focused approach to getting things done.

Melanie values Fremantle’s diversity – its generations of knowledge, creativity and lived experience – and believes community voices and wisdom should guide local decision-making.

For her, sustainability means keeping Freo thriving environmentally, socially and economically: more trees and greening, protection and access to natural spaces, support for local business, and creating conditions for artists, makers and new enterprises to flourish.
