Kids Art Classes at WFAC

Looking for creative school holiday activities? The Winter Arts Program at Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre offers a range of hands-on art classes and workshops for children and teens of all ages.

From painting and printmaking to weaving and mixed media, young artists can learn new skills, explore their creativity and create something they’ll be proud to take home, all under the guidance of experienced artists.

This winter’s program includes exciting new workshops such as Cyanotype Sun Printing, Pet Portrait Painting and Nature Weaving, plus many more creative experiences.

Funmantle – January 2025

Seven action-packed days of rides, games, prizes, and more! Experience carnival fun for all ages in Fremantle this summer holidays! Fremantle will transform into an exhilarating and whimsical fairground for an entire week from 1.00pm to 7.00pm, Monday 13 – Sunday 19 January. Whether you’re young or young at heart, follow the fun to Fremantle this January and soak up the carnival atmosphere with rides, sideshows, games, and more fun surprises.

Freo Builds – July School Holidays

This year Freo Builds discovered FANTASY FREMANTLE brought to life in LEGO®! Kids followed the trail around Fremantle to find seven fantastical Freo Builds based on designs from local school kids.
With almost 15,000 visitors descending into Fremantle over 7 days, we had an absolute blast and hope you did too!

Congratulations to Orla from Hilton Primary School who’s reimagining of Freo’s iconic Containbow as a fairy apartment block won with the most votes!

2024 Spring School Holidays

During the Spring School Holidays, kids followed an adventure trail to Find the DreamWorks Trolls in Fremantle. Poppy and Branch joined us for a special week and the Kids activity Zone was a great success with a inflatable obstacle course, face painting and a silent disco!

Movie night – Back to the Future!

Great Scott! We had an awesome evening jumping back in time to 1985 with our Town Hall movie night screening of Back to the Future! Held by our Community Development team. Tickets were $5 and included a dinner of Pizza or Pasta. This night was one to remember! Funmantle – January School Holidays
