The City of Fremantle is seeking Aboriginal artists, makers and businesses selling arts, crafts, products and food to join us at Wardarnji 2026.
Please note that stallholder opportunities are intended for Aboriginal arts, crafts and food vendors, rather than information displays or service promotion.
A joyful celebration of one of the world’s oldest living cultures, Wardarnji brings together traditional and contemporary dance, music, storytelling and cultural expression. As night falls, fires burn into the evening, while markets showcase the creativity and talents of local Aboriginal makers.
Wardarnji will be held at Esplanade Park from 4pm on Saturday 28 November 2026.

FOCUS First Nations Films 2027 is calling for short film submissions from individuals, schools, tertiary institutions, independent artists, community groups and leaders.
City of Fremantle is seeking short films created by and/or with First Nations filmmakers that share First Nations stories, culture, experiences and perspectives — exploring past and present truths while celebrating community, culture and connection.
We are interested in films produced by makers of all ages: from primary and secondary school age, young adults, and films made through tertiary institutions, film schools, independent artists, community groups and leaders.
Selected films will be screened as part of our family-focused afternoon program, providing an opportunity for audiences of all ages to watch, listen, learn, reflect and celebrate First Nations voices.

The City of Fremantle invites community participation in the second stage of the Expression of Interest (EOI) process to shape the future of the Manjaree Precinct.
Building on the first stage, this second stage offers leasing opportunities for two units at Mrs Trivett Place (Units 13 and 15), located between the J-Shed building and Captains Lane.
We welcome applications from individuals, collectives and organisations at all stages of creative and cultural practice or business development who are passionate about creating work that connects people with place.
Proposals that create memorable experiences, attract and engage visitors, and celebrate the unique identity of Manjaree and Walyalup/Fremantle are of particular interest.
Commercial rent has been valued at $150 to $225 per square metre.
Inspections times will be held from 10-10.30am on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 October 2026.
Attendance at a viewing is encouraged but not mandatory.
The City does not expect community or not for profit tenants to pay full commercial rent. If you offer less rent, explain the community benefits you will provide and how your idea supports Manjaree.
Both units are expected to be available in January or February 2027.
Applicants are encouraged to review the EOI pack and supporting documents for all relevant information and application requirements.
