The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) is inviting residents in the City of Fremantle to provide their comments on the East Street residential apartment development proposal.
The Department’s Significant Development Assessment Unit (SDAU) has received a development application for 7 to 27 Canning Highway. The application is for 34 residential apartments – to be used as social housing – in a three-storey building with vehicle parking accessed from East Street.
The development application would not be assessed or determined by Council. All submissions should be made to the Department. Following the completion of an assessment report by DPLH, the development application will be determined by the Western Australian Planning Commission.
