City of Fremantle facilities and services during COVID lockdown

Due to the COVID-19 hard lockdown, the following City of Fremantle facilities will be closed to the public until further notice:

  • City of Fremantle Administration Centre (customer service still operating via phone and email).
  • Fremantle Library
  • The Meeting Place
  • Fremantle Leisure Centre
  • Samson Recreation Centre
  • Walyalup Cultural Centre
  • Fremantle Visitors Centre
  • Fremantle Community Legal Centre
  • Fremantle Toy Library
  • Fremantle Recycling Centre and Containers for Change depot
  • Sullivan Hall
  • North Fremantle Community Hall
  • City of Fremantle playgrounds

 

Public toilets will remain open and all City services including waste collection, street cleansing, community safety and customer service will continue to operate as normally as possible.

The bulk waste verge collection due to start today will go ahead as planned.

Skate parks, barbecues and recreation facilities are closed, however showers and drinking fountains will be left open.

The Planning Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday at North Fremantle Community Hall will be postponed to a later date.

The City has committed to maintaining business as usual and no staff will be stood down during this period.

The City will continue to monitor the official advice and update our arrangements as the situation evolves.

Residents are reminded to adhere to social distancing and personal hygiene requirements and only use public facilities in line with state government restrictions.
